Casa Aurea is a modern design apartment which reflects a unique atmosphere of calm and balance.

Casa Aurea is a design home located in the center of the Botanical neighborhood of Valencia, in a classic building that preserves the most characteristic spaces of the city’s residential architecture in the 20th century, with high ceilings and large windows on the façade.
The main goal in this project was to create a warm and cozy environment, which responded to the needs raised by the clients while respecting the most valuable original elements, such as its high ceilings.
The common and original typology of these city homes was to locate the night area (bedrooms) on the street side, to open the day area to the inner courtyard of the block, much quieter and more intimate. In the new layout, this typology is modified, to guarantee life focused on the outside and to place the rest areas inside, much quieter and more intimate.
The materials used in the project are light-colored at their base, to generate a contrast with the integrated millwork elements (library, work area, storage, furniture…). The kitchen, located in the heart of the house, is a large iron and glass cube that offers the possibility of being open or closed, to respond to practicality and functionality. A flexible space with simple geometric shapes that harmonize the aesthetics of the area.
The hallway of the home is built by a large integrated closet with simple molded doors that integrate service spaces (laundry, cleaning) and bathroom. The work area is open and serves as a hall prior to the bedrooms, with a curved ceiling that recalls the rest of the gestures and design resources that run through the house.
Casa Aurea is a home with a clean and sophisticated aesthetic, designed to convey harmony and warmth.
